Ed and Greta were engaged. Greta returned to Ireland before the marriage. Returning to the US, she was booked on the Titanic, but a girl friends mother begged her to accompany her daughter on a different ship, so she decided to change passage at the last minute. The Titanic sank and Ed thought she was gone until she showed up on a different ship.
