However, the stone in the cemetery says Elizabeth, wife of Robert W. Coon and in Koon and Coons families of eastern New York, Elizabeth Decker is wife of Robert William Coon. In the US Census of 1850, Red Hook, NY, Betsey (nickname for Elizabeth) is wife of Robert and the name Betsey is repeated on son Edmund's headstone.

Coon Sr. The stone reads: In Memory of ELIZABETH, wife of Robert W. Coon, who died Nov. 3, 1856, aged 46 years 5 mo. & 18 ds.

Elizabeth married Robert William COON Sr., son of Simon W KUHN and Maria DONNERLY, on 29 Feb 1836 in Germantown , Columbia, NY, USA.²⁵⁴ (Robert William COON Sr. was born on 9 Nov 1816 in New York ^{94,256,257,258,259} and died on 2 Oct 1862.)
