• Family Story: "Bathtub Gin", Abt 1920-1933, White Plains, Westchester, New York. "During prohibition (1920-33) Louis was a volunteer fireman in White Plains, at the firehouse on Robertson Avenue. They hung out at the firehouse, played pinnocle, made bathtub gin. One night Louis and Art Gill (who lived on the 1st floor of 62 Robertson Avenue) came home after drinking gin at the firehouse. He built this home about 1958.
